JOB FUNCTION: Product Development Engineer

Responsibility and key roles
- Provide excellent services to the customer and promoting our mission of “re-engineering and product actualization solutions”
- Conduct reverse engineering by analyzing and understanding the design, construction, and functionality of products, or components. By deconstruction and reverse engineering, do necessary documentation each step of the way and process about the inner workings, materials used, manufacturing techniques, and overall design intent.
- Conducting detailed measurements and inspections of individual parts and components to determine their dimensions, tolerances, and material properties, utilizing various inspection and testing devices, such as calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), CT scanner or any other scanning devices to capture accurate geometrical data.
- Performing functional tests and analysis on components to understand their purpose and how they interact with other parts of the product.
- Documenting and recording all findings, measurements, and data obtained during any engineering process.
- Developing detailed engineering drawings, CAD models, technical reports, work instructions or processes, or documentation based on the information gathered and any research.
- Collaborating with other design and engineering teams to provide insights and recommendations for product improvement, troubleshooting, or replication purposes.
- Conducting research on materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards to gain a deeper understanding of the original product’s design intent and functionality.
- Actualization of product by supporting production teams (regardless internal or external) ensuring stable supply chain via high quality, productivity, efficiency, optimization and/or cost effectiveness.
- Any engineering and/or engineering related tasks as well as any other tasks as required by Management.
Qualification required
- Have open mind, superb initiative and excellent inquisitive mindset to continuously explore and learn new things without much supervision
- Basic to intermediate knowledge and capabilities in metrology
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge and capabilities in CAD and 3D
- Ability to research in-depth using various tools (like Google) into unfamiliar subjects matters, and the ability to articulate, describe and solve problems
